Wolfe received his education in electrical engineering at Ohio State University and in business as a graduate of The Harvard Business School. He is a member of The Institute of Electronic and Electrical Engineers (IEEE), the Audio Engineering Society (AES), the Society for Information Display (SID), and the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE), where he is a member of the society’s national board of governors, a past manager of the Hollywood section and a member of SMPTE’s working group on ‘High Definition Electronic Production’ and ‘Electronic Cinema.’ Mr. Wolfe is president of Hi-Vision America, an HDTV consulting firm; Exhibition Video International, an electronic cinema distribution company; and Director of Engineering of Moonlight Bay, Inc., a video editing company, all of Hollywood, CA. He is also a board member of Silicon Light Machines, Inc. of Sunnyvale, CA; McKibben Communications, Inc. of Chatsworth, CA; and of Broadway Television Network, Inc. of New York City. As a Columbus, OH-based businessman, Mr. Wolfe led the successful efforts to decriminalize small amounts of marijuana in Ohio in the 1970s, during which time he worked closely with NORML. He joined the NORML board in 1999. Mr. Wolfe presently lives in the Hollywood Hills section of Los Angeles with his wife Marie.

May 28, 1997 – Dan Asbury, John Precup, other medical marijuana patients and caregivers continue their Journey for Justice across rural Ohio, on their way to the state capitol. Also on the Journey is one of the few “legal” medical marijuana patients, Elvy Musikka, who has Glaucoma. Stopping to rest and medicate in Sycamore, the group stays in Marion, OH for the night. The next morning, they pass by a state prison and shout support to the inmates. Stay tuned for Day 4 conclusion to see what happens!

MEDICAL MARIJUANA GETS HEARING AT OHIO STATEHOUSE PDF Print E-mail Ohio Judiciary Committee on Criminal Justice to Hear Sponsor Testimony on SB 74 (Columbus, OH) — The Ohio Patient Network is pleased to learn that, on Wednesday, November 15, the Ohio Judiciary Committee on Criminal Justice will hear sponsor testimony from Senator Robert Hagan (D-33) concerning SB 74, Ohio’s medical marijuana act. This legislation to protect Ohio’s cannabis patients from prosecution was introduced by Senator Hagan in February of 2005. Among other provisions, SB 74: ¨ Modifies various sections of the Ohio Revised Code to regulate the medical use of marijuana under the direction of a patient’s physician; ¨ Establishes a patient registry with the Ohio Department of Health and mandates that a patient application and identification process be instituted to identify authorized patients to law enforcement personnel; ¨ Requires the issuance of identification cards by the Department of Health to patients and caregivers; ¨ Properly identifies and limits the amounts, and standardizes the weighing process of marihuana permitted under the law; ¨ Establishes a method of scientific evaluation and public comment for the purpose of evaluating the conditions for which medical use shall be authorized; ¨ Protects the public health and welfare by prohibiting the use of medical marihuana in schools, civic centers, public recreation centers, youth centers, places of employment, on public transportation, or in a
