At 5pm yesterday, Dozens of Bozemanites braved the heavy snowfall and gathered at the Gallatin County Courthouse to protest the DEA’s recent raids on medical marijuana providers statewide. Montana’s citizens are growing more and more fed up with Federal intrusion and disregard for valid state law that protects medical marijuana patients and their caregivers. The bill that began Montana’s medical marijuana program was approved by 62% of the citizens in a voter’s initiative in 2004. If the will of the people is such that the law should now be repealed, then so be it. If that is indeed the case, then it should be done legally by the will of the people, and not illegally by the force of the Federal Government’s drug police. Rallies like this one will be continuing everyday through Saturday, starting at 4:20pm, with a march down Main Street beginning at 5pm on Friday. I don’t know what exactly is in store for Saturday yet, but it’s sure to be a big event, and the camera will be rolling for all of it. Please share this video if you can. More to come.
