Marijuana Music
Melodic, intelligent, wall of sound psychedelia. Chicago’s Red Plastic Buddha blend layers of guitar, effects, keyboards and vocal harmonies to create a distinctive, swirling, lysergic sound that’s as fluid as the shifting shapes in a lava lamp. ‘Forget me Not’ is the first single off our new Spade Kitty Records release Sunflower Sessions. I know I said I wasn’t going to be posting anymore videos for awhile, but today I was doing a little surfing on YouTube and came across a video by Randi2244 that was an audio recording of “Snowblind” at Cali. Jam ’74. A great post, but the her audio is much more booming sounding than my copy of California Jam. No big deal though, until a gentleman by the name of “Calijamscott” decided to give his “expert opinion” on it since he supposedly did the sound for the ABC TV special on it. He says Randi2244′s post was NOT California Jam. Naturally, I doubted this assumption, so I decided to give my copy of California Jam a listen. My copy is different than Randi2244 in that it contains all the pre and post-song ramblings by Ozzy. Some bootleg versions edit these out. Others leave them in. Plus, the mix on mine is more raw sounding and less boomy. Randi’s copy is no more than a different boot of the same show. Anyway, I gave them a listen and picked out certain parts of the audio…and guess what?…they are IDENTICAL. I informed this gentleman that he was wrong, but yet still insists otherwise. So I leave it to you guys to listen to both and tell me what you think. Here is the link to Randi2244′s post: www.youtube.com Pay specific attention to what Ozzy says during lines to the crowd, as well as the count in by Bill Ward. Update: Caljamscott’s drug-fueled ramblings have caused him to be banned from this post. I feel stupid to have wasted my time with him, learning that he is a 51 …

Earl Simmons (born December 18, 1970), better known by his stage name DMX, is an American entertainer, who rose to fame in the late 1990s. His stage name stands for Dark Man X, the name he used when he first started rapping in 1990. To date, his best-selling album was his 1999 album And Then There Was X, which featured the hit single “Party Up (Up in Here)”. As an actor, he also starred in the films Belly, Exit Wounds, Cradle 2 The Grave, Romeo Must Die and Last Hour, and his own reality television series Soul of a Man on the American cable television network BET. In 2002, DMX wrote an autobiographical book titled EARL: The Autobiography of DMX. He also has an extensive arrest record. He has sold over 28 million albums worldwide. Since beginning public life as a rapper, DMX has made headlines for multiple arrests, such as for animal cruelty, reckless driving, unlicensed driving, drug possession, and identity falsification. In 1999 officers from the Fort Lee Police Department executed a search of his home, which led to Earl Simmons aka DMX surrendering himself the next day on weapons charges. He has served some jail time, such as a 15-day sentence in 2000 for possession of marijuana and another in 2001 for driving without a license and possession marijuana. His appeal to reduce the 2001 sentence was denied, and he was charged with assault for …
This is my first attempt in making a psychedelic Beatles trip. I recommend consumption of marijuana…or some other mind expanding equivalent before watching this video in order to enhance the entertainment. Also, to those who assume that I made this entire video from scratch…I didn’t. I simply used old Beatles footage and slightly edited it to make it sync in with the music. Enjoy ![]()
